The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

A pair of titles currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription alone. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — rendering them ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
