Palestinian-American Youth Freed After Nine-Month Period in Israeli Detention

A American-Palestinian teenager after completing nine months in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges gained freedom.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest this past winter throughout the West Bank territory, during a family visit on holiday from Florida for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.

American authorities stated they would maintain to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to release him.

Mohammed's parent, with four children who runs an ice cream business in Florida, previously said his son only confessed about rock throwing because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son since the arrest, learning information solely what had happened to him via legal paperwork.

The teenager remained without charge at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.

The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty regarding severe security violations and homicide.
