Loyal fans of the actress are calling for that a person who leaped a barricade and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Record of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, securing several for excellent wardrobe and production design.
