Barça Ready for First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch in early November. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
